Nevada CCW Class

NV CCW offers an immersive, in-person course tailored to individuals seeking to carry a concealed pistol for personal protection in public spaces.

This comprehensive course covers essential CCW topics, including firearm safety, selecting self-defense pistols, ammunition choices, concealed carry fundamentals, shooting from concealment, tactical reloading, situational awareness, defensive mindset, holstering techniques, and basic personal defense shooting methods. We emphasize ongoing skill enhancement throughout the program.

Students are required to bring their own pistol and 50 rounds of factory ammunition (30 rounds for the course; firearms and ammunition are prohibited in the classroom), along with eye and ear protection (prescription eyewear is acceptable), a hip or appendix holster, two extra magazines, and a positive attitude.

Upon successful completion of the course, which includes passing a knowledge exam and shooting drills, students will meet NV CCW standards and receive an official certificate of completion.

The course, including live fire training, spans approximately 8 hours.

A welcome letter will be sent via email within 48 hours of registration to guide you through the process.

Personal Protection in the Home

NRA Personal Protection in the Home (PPITH) offers an intermediate-level, in-person class designed to educate students on safely safeguarding their family, home, and surroundings.

This objective-driven course goes beyond basic safety principles, delving into when and how to utilize defensive strategies within the home. Topics covered include "safe room" principles and emergency planning, theft deterrence, preventing unauthorized firearm access, managing confrontations, cultivating situational awareness, utilizing cover and concealment effectively, interacting with law enforcement post-incident, and honing basic personal protection shooting techniques.

Students are required to bring a pistol, 150 rounds of factory ammunition (firearms and ammunition are prohibited in the classroom), eye and ear protection (prescription eyewear is acceptable), and a positive attitude.

Upon successful completion of the course, including passing a knowledge exam and participating in shooting drills, students will meet NRA Personal Protection in the Home national standards and receive an official certificate of completion.

The course, inclusive of live fire training, spans approximately 8 hours.

NRA Personal Protection Outside the Home (PPOTH)

NRA Personal Protection Outside the Home (PPOTH) offers an intermediate level, in-person course designed to educate students on protecting themselves and their families in public settings.

This objective-driven course delves into crucial concealed carry concepts, including cultivating a defensive mindset, understanding cover and concealment principles, optimizing holstering techniques for efficiency, navigating concealed carry laws, traveling with firearms, determining when to use force for self-defense, engaging with law enforcement post-incident, preparing for the aftermath, and mastering basic tactical reloading and defensive shooting drills.

Prior to enrolling, students must fulfill required prerequisites. Necessary materials include a pistol, 250 rounds of factory ammunition (firearms and ammunition are prohibited in the classroom), eye and ear protection (prescription eyewear is acceptable), a hip or appendix holster, snap caps, two extra magazines, and a positive attitude.

Upon successful completion of the course, which encompasses passing a knowledge exam and participating in shooting drills, students will meet NRA Personal Protection Outside the Home national standards and receive an official certificate of completion.

The course, inclusive of live fire training, spans approximately 14 hours.

NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting

NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting (ILT) offers an in-person beginner-level course focused on firearm safety education rather than marksmanship or concealed carry training. This course is ideal for individuals new to pistols, those with limited experience, or anyone seeking a refresher on fundamental pistol safety principles.

This objective-driven class covers essential aspects of firearm ownership, emphasizing safe gun handling, understanding ammunition, proper maintenance and storage practices, and mastering basic shooting techniques. We encourage ongoing skill development throughout the course.

Students are required to bring a pistol (.22 caliber or greater), 100 rounds of factory ammunition (ammunition is prohibited in the classroom), eye and ear protection (prescription eyewear is acceptable), and a positive attitude.

Upon successful completion of the course, including passing a basic knowledge exam and participating in shooting lessons, students will meet NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting national standards and receive an official certificate of completion.

The course, which includes live fire training, spans approximately 8 hours.
